It's flimsy compared to my Garmin mount (which I've had for years!), and I really didn't like having to remove the protective case to put the X in the mount. I also didn't like the coiled power cord that goes to a DC outlet in the car. It had to be stretched too tight for my preference. I took the car mount back. I took the foam out and put my X into it. It didn't seem to come on at all. I'm thinking they put the magnets in such a location NOT to activate the phone in media mode or automobile mode.
